The Black Sticks captain Stacey Michelsen will be lacing up her boots for her third Olympics in Tokyo after placing fourth in Rio 2016 and London 2012.

The Northland midfielder has also been to three Commonwealth Games, winning gold at Gold Coast 2018, bronze at Glasgow 2014 and silver at Delhi 2010.

Nominated again for the FIH Player of the Year award in 2019, Michelsen has been one of the most dominant players in world hockey for many years with an incredible ability to eliminate multiple defenders with her breath-taking runs.

She is currently the most capped New Zealand women’s player of all time with nearly 300 caps.
